Prostate-Help was started in 1998 following the diagnosis and treatment of Don Cooley.  He built a number of web sites dedicated to prostate cancer.  Included in these were chat rooms, groups, ML's and Forums.  At this point the chat rooms, groups. ML's are all gone as I have scaled down my activity to this web site ony.

The old Prostate-Help web sites are mostly gone and inaccessible.  Much of the information has been copied to this site and more will be copied as times goes on.  However there is also material that will be added to this site from elsewhere as time goes on.

We believe that this site is in a more logical order to make things easier to access.  We hope it helps you.

There are other sites that have been developed by Don Cooley.  The information there is important and useful so they are valid sites for your research.  Here is a listing:

PHID was a listing of all of the studies that were of immediate value to those with prostate cancer.  The listing here are still valid today and can be used.  It is located at http://www.furl.net/view.jsp and can be access by clicking here.

A Prostate-Help BLOG was established and news releases of interest were posted on an almost daily basis.  Again it is not up to date but valuable none-the-less.  It is at http://prostate-help.blogs.com/prostatehelp/ or by clicking here.

Don Cooley expressed his opinions well and decided to post them on a BLOG.  Again this is not current but his opinions are valuable to those diagnosed and researching this disease.  The BLOG is at http://prostate-help.blogspot.com/ or can be accessed by clicking here.

There is a ton of research and reading in the above (including this site).  It is from about 10 years of very intensive research with thousands of hours dedicated to getting information to prostate cancer patients.

At one time these sites were getting 1500 hits a day from those wanting information.  Don Cooley established himself as a patient expert in prostate cancer.  Not only was he sought for answers from patients but also from doctors.  These patients and doctors and those accessing the web sites came from some 100 countries around the world.  It is a impressive endeavor.
