Research on HRPC

This page will list the different areas of Prostate-Help that you can do your research about this disease. One or more may be listed on each Research page. Lets break it down into parts.

First is the "Prostate-Help Information database (PHID)". Current studies are posted here.

Second is the "Prostate-Help BLOG". Current news releases, papers are listed here. One must be careful in reading these - they may be just someone's opinion or a promo for a treatment or clinic. Note this is a Google search of the BLOG.

Third is a "Google Search" of listing on the Internet of this Topic. Again one has to be even more careful in reading these as they really can get biased and may lead you astray.

Forth is a "PubMed" search of all available studies in the past 180 days. These searches are more difficult to create and usually will give you a lot of other studies that use the word. For example in "external beam radiation" in "prostate cancer" could also get you studies in Brachytherapy and Surgery where they used these terms. If I excluded Brachytherapy and Surgery it may not give you the studies you want because the words were included in a comparison in the study involved. So I have opted to have more studies rather than less and miss something.

Do not pay any attention to any of the ads involved anyplace in these areas of research. Be patient on loading the pages because of the searches involved.
