I have organized, written, developed this web site and groups over a period of about 10 years. Mostly I have paid for the development and the hardware and software needed as well as the ongoing expenses out of my own pocket.
In the past I have had donations from the members of the support groups and a few from the web site itself. As I have gotten older money has gotten tighter. I am in a position that I need to replace some of my older hardware and to pay some of the continuing expenses.
I rarely have asked for donations but as long as you see this request - you will know I need donations - of any size - the donations only go to pay expenses. I am trying to not sell ads on the web site. If you find this web site useful, you can donate by credit card or send a check - see Donations Please - it will truly be appreciated!

Currently his onc is uncaring, a poor communicator and has to be reminded of basic tests. Prostate Cancer is not a couples disease If You are a Bachelor ,In that case You go it alone, and this site dont help much
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer:
John, this site is about treatment of prostate cancer. It has nothing to do with "going it alone" - it is for all those diagnosed. There is a lot of information on this site to help you in your decisions - but you do have to read some of the 140 pages.

FINDING THIS FORUM HAS MADE AN ENORMOUS DIFFERENCE IN OUR LIVES. MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE COME TO BEING ABLE TO TALK OPENLY AND EASILY WITH EACH OTHER ABOUT ANY FEARS OR DOUBTS WE WERE FEELING BEFORE. NO EMBARASSMENT OR FEAR OF OFFENDING EACH OTHER.
IT'S BEEN 2 1/2 YRS. SINCE THE FIRST NEG. PSA. THERE WERE 40 RADIATION TREATMENTS AND TWO YEARS OF HT. JUST FINISHED SAME. ALL TESTS ARE GOOD. ONCE YOU KNOW YOU HAVE THE BEST ONC THEN THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO IS "LISTEN" TO EACH OTHER AND GIVE ASSURANCE THAT EVERYTHING YOU SAY AND DO IS OUT OF LOVE. YOU MAY SAY THE WRONG THING AT THE WRONG TIME BUT REMIND EACH OTHER THAT LOVERS WOULD NEVER DELIBERATLY HURT EACH OTHER.
YOU CAN'T SAY "I LOVE YOU AS YOU ARE" TOO OFTEN!
We would like to have you sign our Guestbook and at the same time tell us what you like about this site. All we want is a name and a Country where you live. We do not need your email address - leave it blank. However please tell us about this site and how it has helped you fight this disease. We would like to have suggestions of something to add or change. Since we do not read the Guestbook on a daily basis - it is not the place to ask questions.
Comments and suggestions will help us make this site even more useful in the future.
When you come to the Guestbook it will show you a list of others who have been here and any comments made. To sign the Guestbook open it and click on a very dim [sign guestbook] at the upper left of the form itself and then click on the small arrow on the right and the form will appear. By the way notice at the upper right there is a search capability - you might want to see who has been here from some country for example. Any change you make you may have to open the Guestbook again by clicking on the little arrow on the right of the dark bar.
If you click on [guestbook] on the upper left it will take you to a listing of those who have recently signed in with the latest at the top.
"Site Search" will search for any entries in the Guestbook that match your criteria.
Note below the "guestbook entry" you will find a "code" and four characters to the right of the "code". This code is only letters and all CAPS. The reason for requiring this is the fact of SPAM. This stops SPAM from entering things here and filling up the with a lot of advertising junk. You will have to fill out the "code" with the characters at the right in order to Submit your information. If you miss type the characters you will be given additional chances.
