The First Forty-Seven Days
By
Jon O. Durre
Jon tells his story of the first 47 days of the decision making process. Much insight as to what goes on in many of our minds those first few weeks. The difference is that he was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. As Jon says:
"This Lenten Season has extra meaning for me for it comes with an additional unexpected announcement. "I have terrible news for you." After what appeared to be an annoying infection finally had me in a doctor’s office last week, I have been through a whirlwind of visits, tests, and ultimate revelations. "What you have is a very aggressive form of prostate cancer." The doctor had said. With a PSA rating nearly off the charts and a Gleason Scale of 9 out of a possible 10, the news was not good and the options were limited."
